Protein & Beauty

Obviously protein and beauty are no synonymous terms but the right amount of protein intake leads to a beautiful body. We have seen and heard lots of protein supplements coming out in the commercials which encourage women in particular to grab as an alternative should they want some kind of instant weight reduction effect. Since they want an immediate result, sometimes they fail to notice that there are high protein diet foods available and can be taken on a regular meal.

More significant than the purpose of losing weight, protein is just one of those basic body building blocks made up of amino acids. Lack of protein would lead to muscle break down. On the other hand, too much intake of it may cause to develop osteoporosis, stroke, heart disease and kidney stones. Thus, it is important for us to know how much of protein intake we need in a day. A standard formula for this is having our body weight in kilograms multiplied by .8 or in pounds by .37 to arrive at the number of grams of minimum protein daily. Athletes and other individuals performing strenuous activities need an average of 1.3 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight.

Protein helps to grow our muscle, skin and hair; that is why even some shampoo, lotion or even soap ads mention the protein content of their product. Consequently, having healthy hair and skin would definitely bring you into being beautiful.
