My Saga with Glasses

Ever since I can remember, I’ve always had four eyes. No, it’s not because I have an alien mother (although sometimes, I feel I do!), but because I’ve always had glasses on. My eyesight isn’t as perfect as I hoped it would be, so I had to wear prescription lenses. I was that kid who grew up a bit insecure as schoolmates would tease me, calling me a “four-eyed nerd”.

I may have had a somewhat miserable childhood, but thank heavens all that changed when I grew up. When Lisa Loeb became quite popular with her catchy songs and funky eyeglasses, I certainly reaped the benefits. All of a sudden, friends left and right envied me for looking like a stunning diva with four eyes.

Only then did I begin to enjoy being an “eyeglassed lass”. Shopping sprees meant not only scouring the malls for cute tops, but also looking around for fashionable eyeglasses frames. I never realized there were so many different funky frames to choose from! It was sheer bliss.

After the initial thrill, I couldn’t believe how much I’ve spent on eyeglasses. It was almost incredible how they can cost so much. I nearly sank into depression- again- until a friend suggested that I buy glasses online.

I was a bit hesitant at first, but I thought: nothing ventured, nothing gained. So I went over to GlassesUSA.com and was pleasantly surprised to find a plethora of high-quality and fashionable prescription glasses at reasonable prices. They were totally Lisa Loeb! I am eyeing (pun intended) this one pair of eye-catching (pun again!) glasses with a purple frame.

Being able to see clearly is a right, not a privilege. It’s good to know that GlassesUSA gives us back that right. And the fact that their glasses are fashionable is an added bonus.
