Simple Ways To Hide Imperfections With Makeup

Who doesn’t have a morning when their eyes betray a sleepless night? How you handle those problem mornings, especially if you seem plagued with puffiness much of the time, determines how you will look all day. Whether your eyes are the victims of fatigue, stress, illness, irritation, or sleeplessness, a few helpful tips can give them a transformational lift and have them looking wide awake and pretty in just a few minutes.

Concealer

Before any moisturizer, concealer, or makeup is added to the skin, be sure your face is thoroughly cleansed. Concealer helps to hide skin imperfections, blotches, and dark circles. Concealer comes in various shades, with each designed to help a particular skin issue. If you are experiencing rosacea or other redness, select a green-tinted concealer. Choose yellow-tinted to brighten your face, orange-tinted for dark areas, and lavender-tinted to reduce yellow tones. Your concealer should be one or two shades lighter than the tone of your natural complexion. Moisturize your skin before applying the concealer. Dab concealer under your eyes in a v shape. Never rub it in as the skin in the area of the eye is thinner, delicate, and easily damaged. Gently keep dabbing or brushing it in until well blended. If you have any blemishes, acne, dark spots, or scars on your face, dab concealer on them also.

Foundation

Apply your foundation, which should be a shade or two darker than the concealer. Foundation comes in several styles including liquid, cream, tinted moisturizer, spray, cake, and powder are all available in popular shades. Liquid foundation seems to appeal to the majority as it comes in a wide range of shades and offers coverage from light to heavy. This type of foundation is suitable for all skin types and is available in an oil-free form. Cream foundation provides the best coverage for matured, uneven toned, and blemished complexions, but is not good for oily skin. Spray on foundation gives the appearance of an airbrushed finish. Powder foundation is almost as popular as a liquid, and it is especially appealing to people with oily skin. Cake foundation gives the heaviest coverage, but it is mainly used for media and theatrical purposes. Finish your foundation application with a translucent setting powder, that will keep you looking fresh for about 12 hours.

Show Off Those Eyelashes

When your eyelashes grab the attention, no one is looking at the puffiness around your eyes. Make your eyelashes into a show stopper by curling them, adding a rich mascara, or applying an extra layer of eyelashes for extreme thickness. Dress up your eyelids to show off those lashes. Eyeshadow with a touch of glimmer draws the attention to your eyelids and showcases your gorgeous lashes. Thicken and sculpt your brows with a quality brow pencil and powder. Finish off your look with a brow gel to keep everything looking perfect for hours.

Eye Liner

An eyeliner pencil is better than liquid because you can keep the tip close to your lashes, and make short feathery strokes working from the corner of the eye in toward the nose. Stop applying liner where your eyelashes end, and you will have a soft natural look. Your finished look will camouflage any puffiness and draw people’s attention to your eyes.

Droopy Eyelids And Bags Under The Eyes

When your problem is present every day, even the best makeup tips are not going to be enough to give you the young look you used to have. Ruth Hill Yeilding,MD helps people with droopy eyelids and bags every day as an eyelid surgeon specialist. The eyelid surgery procedure is called blepharoplasty and offers many benefits. The medical procedure removes the unpleasant bagginess of the lower eyelids and eliminates any excess skin in the upper eyelids. Some senior citizens have this surgery because saggy upper lids can interfere with their vision. The primary purpose of a blepharoplasty is cosmetic. It undoes the damage caused when the skin loses its elasticity. When poor elasticity is combined with gravity, excessive skin can collect on both upper and lower eyelids. Blepharoplasty corrects this condition and dramatically improves the appearance of the eyes.

If a few makeup tips are not relieving your baggy eye situation, consider having a blepharoplasty procedure to eliminate the problem completely.
