Every summer we are warned about the dangers of the sun if we do not cover our skin or apply sufficient sun screen. However, this does not mean that we have to wear winter jeans and jumpers, or that we have to forget about fashion in the place of our health. It is not difficult to do this, but it is even easier this season to make sure our fashion voices are heard with the help of some of the top designers’ innovative collections.

Rag and Bone’s Skinny Leggings in Surf Knit and in Vintage Biscay are an excellent example of how to express your fashion identity for the summer months without having to reveal too much skin. Mid-rise with good stretch, these leggings are light weight, colourful, fun and fashionable. With prints and bold colours on trend this season, they are perfect for dressing up, whether you are inside or outside, no matter what you are doing to celebrate the summer.

As fashion designers strictly for women, Odd Molly tends to be more in tune with what women need as well as what they want, combining comfort with style and femininity. Their Rose Blouse in White is a great example of a short sleeved, light-weight top ready to combat the heat of the summer. Slim fitting with an empire silhouette, a scoop neck, attractive button fastenings and a fashionable embroidered black rose motif, this blouse could make your wardrobe much more varied and ready for summer.

As with the skinny leggings, skinny jeans could also be an answer to covering up coolly in summer. The Paige Premium Verdugo range of skinny jean is vast with wash options including Evergreen Cord, Royal Turquoise, Pixie (similar to a salmon pink) and over ten more. It celebrates the shape of your legs, whilst allowing room to breathe with its good stretch and mid-rise. The jean in Leopard is particularly astonishing, with the pattern appearing quite structured and neat. A pair of these skinnies in a plain wash, for example, could complement the Odd Molly Rose Blouse to a tee.
