Products You and Your Baby Can Share

A mother’s love doesn’t end when her little one grows up and starts making excuses to join his friends at a rock concert instead of doing the groceries with her.  So before your toddler clamors for independence from you, make the most of his childhood, and share important milestones with him.  More than these moments, what you can share with your baby are the products you use on him.  Here are some of the baby care products which you can also use on yourself.

Baby oil.  You use this to moisturize your baby’s delicate skin, and you can also use this to remove your makeup.  Pour a little baby oil on a cotton ball and gently wipe away blush as you moisturize your skin at the same time.  Be careful not to use this on your eyelids, as baby oil may cause some irritation.

Baby powder.  With the million and one things we moms have to juggle day in and day out, we may find that we don’t have time to wash our hair everyday.  On days when you can’t shampoo your hair, try brushing some baby powder through your locks to help absorb excess oil.

Petroleum jelly.  This is effective at moisturizing and protecting your skin.  For your dry and cracked heels, apply some petroleum jelly on your clean feet before bedtime.  Cover your feet in socks to keep the petroleum jelly off the sheets.

Baby lotion.  Its powdery scent and mild formula will agree with most sensitive skin types.  It moisturizes your skin with the heavy, greasy feeling.

Baby products have been designed with sensitive baby skin in mind, so if your skin happens to fall under this type, then you would do best to share these products with your baby.  Think of all the money you’ll save too!
