There she goes again: the bargain shopper who has managed to fill both her shopping bags with items she got for nearly half the price as you did.  Before you start wringing her neck, do realize that you can be an expert bargain shopper just like she.  Remember the following tips:

  • Don’t buy things you don’t need. Even if an item is slashed 80% off its original price, it’s not worth getting if you really have no use for it.
  • Don’t buy on impulse.  If you need a new set of curtains, don’t rush into buying the first one you see.  Take the time to check out other shops to compare prices.
  • If you find something you need which is sold in bulk, split the cost with a friend.
  • Plan your shopping trip carefully. Make a list of things your really need and things that can wait a bit.

Practice makes perfect- even when it comes to bargain shopping. It’s only a matter of time before you become a bargain shopping pro.
