Fast gaining popularity in the fashion scene worldwide, Gola is traversing borders and is now known beyond the field of sports.  When the Gola brand was first launched, it was relatively unknown and manufactured just football and rugby boots for training and actual games.  This primary product line is the reason why the name Gola is thought to be an anagram of “goal.”   During the Second World War, Gola supplied Army boots to soldiers who braved the battlefield.  By the late 1960s, they started manufacturing training shoes that were also suitable for playing badminton, squash, and volleyball.  Since then, Gola has not only continued to produce high-quality and well-performing sports shoes but has also created well-designed footwear that are comfortable and fashionable as well.

From a small factory that was created in the United Kingdom in 1905, the Gola brand is now one of the oldest British sports brand and has evolved from humble football boots to sports shoes of famous athletes to fashion forward footwear of trendy individuals.  Now, don’t we all know that I’m one trendy gal and, thus, must have a pair of Golas for casual days?

For my first pair of Golas, I chose the Gola Quota High Betsy Cornflower ($80).  Comfortable is an understatement for this pair of sneakers.  It’s so light on the feet that you literally feel that you’re walking on a cloud.  I love the floral print direct from Liberty Of London, it make me feel oh so girl when I wear this! This sneakers definitely delights this fashionista mom.  Moreover, matching it with my current wardrobe is fairly easy as this is something I can easily pair with denims and miniskirts. Most importantly, I can comfortably run after my little toddler in style.

My Gola Cloud sneakers are really heavensent.  I must say that all active moms – which is basically all of us – should have at least a pair of Golas for running those quick errands and for running after the little ones.
