The fashion world is expected to turn green this year as this hue is hailed as the color for 2013. The latest clothing and accessories designs in various shades of green already hit the market even before the year started. As the year progresses, we still continue to see a lot of fashion pieces that are worth investing in. Since emerald green is the favored shade for this year, those who will be celebrating their birthdays this May can include some jewelry pieces fashioned with their birthstone.

Even though emerald isn’t my birthstone, I found a nice looking emerald jewelry piece from Delezhen that just spoke to me. Delezhen offers various jewelry collections that embody unique styles and ideas. My current pick is a green emerald bezel necklace from their orchid collection. It’s a connector set that features dainty orchid flowers in 16k gold plated matte finish, 14K gold chain, freshwater pearls at the clasps, and an emerald set in 22K Gold vermeil. The length is also adjustable with a 2-inch margin to give you versatility for the neckline. I find it to be a statement piece that can be worn for both casual and formal events. It’s an interesting piece that catches attention when on display or worn, and it can even be a conversational piece for those who happen to admire it like I do. The design elements are simply perfect for the summer season. I found the green shade of emerald to be symbolic of the green grass of summer, the pearls for fun in the beach, and the orchids for the floral abundance of the season.

I may find this piece simply perfect for this season, but it doesn’t mean this necklace isn’t good for the rest of its life. Its emerald theme makes it trendy for at least the whole year and the simple but elegant design makes for a classic piece. Those who turn green with envy with this piece can simply visit etsy or Delezhen and place their orders too.
