What to post on Instagram this autumn

This time of year is a paradise for Instagram-ers. With its rich colour palette, pumpkins, our favourite coffees and snuggly jumpers, autumn truly is the season to photograph β€” but just what shots should you be snapping this year? With the help of womenswear designer Ralph Lauren, we find out what you should be posting on Instagram this season:

Leaves

Nature is best photographed at this time of year, and with their rich brown, yellow and reds, leaves are the ideal choice. Post them individually or as a pile to add some colour to your news feed.

Pumpkins

From pumpkin-spiced lattes to carved creations, every Instagram feed needs a few pumpkins at this time of year.

Frost

Early morning frost makes a great shot, if you can capture it. Glistening, pretty frost will put your skills to the test, but the end result is well worth the effort!

Cosy selfies

From watching the fireworks to walking through the snow, being all wrapped up in hats and scarves is the perfect selfie opportunity with friends.

Coffee

A true winter warmer, share a snap of your hot drink β€” whether it’s the latest Starbucks creation or a hot chocolate piled high with cream and marshmallows.

Fireworks

Going to a firework display is one of the highlights of this season. Capture all of the action on your phone and upload to your feed.

Autumn outfits

Instagram is the perfect platform for sharing your style and getting some fashion inspiration! Become the trendsetter this season and share your most on-trend outfits for this season.

Wellies & Puddles

Make the most of any weather, even the rain, and take a picture of your wellington boots in puddles.

Wildlife

Sharing photos of pets and wildlife is a sure-fire way of attracting those likes. From pups in piles of leaves to robins on fences, who can scroll past those little faces!?
